In 2019, the NCB Group embarked on a journey to become a world-class Caribbean financial ecosystem characterised by inspired people and culture, delighted customers, strong performance and being digital to the core.  The transfer of NCBIC’s insurance business to GLL takes the Group one step closer to achieving that goal.  This allows NCB Group to be a stronger group as it will be able to leverage economies of scale across these two high-performing subsidiaries to make it more convenient and beneficial to all our stakeholders but especially our customers.

No.  The company now operates under a new name - NCB Insurance Agency & Fund Managers Limited.

In October 2020, NCBIC transitioned to its new business as a corporate insurance agent under a new company name - NCB Insurance Agency & Fund Managers Limited (“NCBIA”) – when it transferred its insurance and annuities business to affiliated company GLL.  NCBIA continues to offer world class pension fund administration and investment management services for retirement schemes and superannuation funds.  As an insurance agent, NCBIA exclusively sells the life insurance products of GLL, which includes the products that were originally owned and sold by NCBIC, such as Omni, Omni Educator, ProCare and ProVision.

October 1, 2020.

  1. NCBIC changed its name to NCBIA and acquired a Corporate Agent license under the Insurance Act, which allows it to distribute GLL’s life insurance and annuities products.
  2. It is important to note that the transfer of NCBIC’s insurance business to GLL did not affect its pensions and investment management business, which it continues to operate under its new name, NCBIA.

While GLL is now the insurer providing the benefits under the insurance policies, NCBIA will assist in facilitating and routing service requests to GLL for all insurance needs.

Your policies and plans have not become void but GLL is now the insurance company that provides the benefits and is responsible for making all policy changes. All communication regarding existing policies will come from GLL.  NCBIA will assist with policy requests and can be contacted at [email protected].
